Justine Chia, Ph.D.

Justine Chia received her PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied neurons that are involved in taste processing and memory formation in fruit flies. At Austin Capital Data she started cocktail graph and worked on projects ranging from cyberthreat intelligence to bioinformatics.

As a data scientist, she is excited to leverage her expertise in the life sciences to inform heath-related research directions. She is also passionate about making science and data accessible to the general public.

When not working on science, you can find her exploring trails in the backcountry, making mac n cheese, or building LED art projects.

She currently works at Myriad Women’s health as a Data Scientist.
